In her words:
Lemons, pears, wine, as well as abstract imagery represent metaphors for the moments existing in between or leading to everyday conversation. By "conversation" I mean the dialog I create with other people, the natural environment, my community, books I have read, and other experiences that encourage me to explore questions, reflect, and search for meaning. Being mindful of these conversations in my daily life was the inspiration for this body of work. Watercolor paint, acrylic, collage paper, vintage text pages, metal, ribbons, and found objects all represent the objects and ideas we engage with every day which encourage us to stretch and grow beyond what we know presently into new places of learning and fulfillment.
