Jonathan Edwards Winery kicks off Spring by bringing together ten top Chefs in the region, pairing it with delicious JE wine and adding a generous pinch of good-ole fashioned rivalry in their May 15 fundraiser for New England farms. The Culinary Showdown consists of five top restaurants from Connecticut and five from Rhode Island battling it out for their states chosen beneficiary. A portion of the proceeds from the evening’s event will benefit both Connecticut Farmland Trust and Farm Fresh Rhode Island.
Each chef from the areas best restaurants prepares a small signature dish using at least one ingredient sourced from a local farm. Attendees will eat and drink their way to a winner choosing both their favorite restaurant and best state overall. Tickets for this tented event are limited and $50 a person. The price includes a sampling of ten signature dishes and four Jonathan Edwards wines, and live music.
