This has been quite the week. We are thrilled with our harvest this year. Here in Connecticut the glorious long, hot growing season has brought our grapes to record levels in yield and sugars. With the hard work and farm help of some thirty volunteers a day {thank you!} we have hand-harvested our Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay and could not be more thrilled with our best harvest yet. We have our Cabernet Franc still to go in October. Jon Edwards and Chris Moore {vineyard manager} will be giving you more details in a future post on our 2010 vintage both here and in California, but thought we would share a few photos of the week we had harvesting. While Bob and Karen Edwards are out in Napa overseeing the Harvest there {and patiently waiting for the sugars to rise after a chilly California summer!} we are pulling in the fruit here in Connecticut. We will share more photos of their activities out West this week.

We cannot wait to share with you the fruits of our labor. Cheers.
