Sideways returns, Uncorked for Japan

With the film industry expanding worldwide particularly in Russia, India and Japan, some cinematic successes are getting re-invented in the native culture.  Check out this New York Times article about how Sideways is taking a visit to Napa Valley (instead of Santa Barbara) with  a whole new set of bonding friends (Michio and Daisuke instead of Miles and Jack).  Will the charm and humor of this movie be another hit across the ocean or get lost in translation?  We think any movie that combines wine bonding conversations and big adventures with the cinematic beauty of Napa Valley is sure to be a hit!

Open Cellar

Jonathan Edwards Winery welcomed about 250 of our friends on Friday, March 13 for an Open Cellar and Barrel Tasting. The event was complimentary and open to the public.  We had a warm response as we featured our newest releases including our Estate Grown Pinot Gris and Connecticut Chardonnay- along with a fantastic 2007 Merlot.  The biggest buzz of the night was our Stone Table Red- our first ever blend made from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.  It is a robust and luscious red pulling the spice from Syrah, the fruit-forward characteristic of the Merlot and the earthy peat tones of our Cab.  The blend was named after our favorite spot in the vineyards.  A perfect fit whether at our table or yours.....
